Hail the conquering kitty and other tales

I know I haven't posted much lately. There really hasn't been much to tell other than the usual routine of school and housework. I did get some dental work done and ended up with an upper denture plate that I'm still getting used to.
Also, it seems our cat Sunny has also taken the house next door as part of his domain. Our neighbor told me she was in their master bath and happened to glance over into the bedroom to find Sunny stretched out on their dresser, fast asleep. They have two cats and a beagle, and he has sufficiently intimidated them (the cats, not the people) enough that he eats their food and uses their litter box whenever he likes. No wonder he's gotten so fat! Our neighbor also said that Sunny doesn't allow them to hold or pet him, so at least we keep that privilege. I wonder what he'll do once the weather warms up enough to turn the A/C on and he can't get into their house as easily as he can now, where everyone has their doors and windows open to enjoy the fine weather.
And fine weather it is, too. The entire month of March has been in the 70s and 80s, and spring has erupted in earnest. If the weather holds and we don't end up with a freak Easter snowstorm, this winter will officially go down in our area's history as the one with the least snow ever. We had less than four inches total.
Dad G and I got our garden tilled and ready for planting this past weekend. We picked up some flower seeds for Bean and planted them in a big terra cotta pot. She woke up this morning, got dressed, and went to look at her planter, and then started to cry because there weren't any flowers. We had to explain that flowers didn't just spring up overnight, but she's still dubious. I hope the darn things germinate quickly!
wizard_love had their reveals and I can now admit to writing Hush, which is Neville/Ginny and NC-17.
Speaking of Neville/Ginny,
florahart is writing a series of ficlets prior to her birthday, and wrote the lovely ficlet Two Forward, One to the Side for me! Go forth, read, and give love!
And, um, yeah. That's what I've been up to.
