Waiting

Mom G's platelet count went above 100, so the docs performed the biopsy on Monday. We should know the preliminary report tomorrow, and a more indepth one by Friday. However, last night her potassium levels crashed because the diuretic she was on basically made her pee out all of her potassium, so they moved her to ICU until her potassium is back to a safe level. They also want to start her on warfarin, but to do that her platelets need to be at least at 150, and right now she's still barely over 100.

Eventually they'll have to let her come home, right? It's been a week and a half, and right now the docs are saying Monday at the earliest before she gets to leave. That's assuming nothing else goes awry.
